Directing Experience
Kira Wefers is a director, choreographer, intimacy choreographer, and student currently working with UC Berkeley’s student-produced theater company, BareStage Productions, the Department of Theater, Dance, and Performance Studies, and beyond!
Previously, Kira has directed Spring Awakening and The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee and choreographed Cabaret, all through BareStage Productions, in addition to directing, choreographing, intimacy choreographing, and music managing numerous shows and showcase pieces across numerous theaters and performance groups.
She is also BareStage’s Resident Intimacy Choreographer, using her training from Theatrical Intimacy Education to promote consent-based and trauma-informed theatrical spaces.
